This trip provided one of the most interesting days of our recent trip to Paris. The guide was most congenial and very knowledgable about the WW1 Somme Battles. We had a great day and recommend this trip to anyone visiting Paris. |

We enjoyed two trips while in Paris. First one to Giverny and the second to the Somme Battlefields. Both were very enjoyable. Loved Monet''s gardens, they were spectacular. Our guide Sophie was a delight. The Somme Battlefields were very moving. Our guide Lionel was quick witted and knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. A very emotional trip. His driving skill was amazing when we were caught in traffic late on a Friday afternoon in Paris. Certainly made us laugh!!! | Management response :
Thank you very much yvonne. Lionel will surely be glad to read your nice note about his driving skills. We certainly look forward to welcoming you again on one of your future visit to Paris. Paul |

We had a great trip to the Somme with Sebastian our guide. He was very informative and answered all of our questions in detail. His knowledge of the battlefields was second to none and he was most accommodating to each and all of us. Anyone who can deliver his passengers safely in Paris traffic at that time of day deserves praise. The only criticism I have is that a map for each couple would make the layout of the area easier to understand. It was a very solemn and humbling area to visit. |

An excellent day. We were very impressed with Julian''s knowledge and passion for his work. A remarkable experience. |

Our tour guide Bertrand was the very BEST! His knowledge of WWI history far surpassed our expectations and he patiently and intelligently answered all of our questions. I think that we were very lucky to have him as our guide and I now understand about my grandfather.
I would recommend that a general map of the little villages in the region that we were taken to in relation to the country of France be given to us at the start of the tour. It would have facilitated our understanding of this part of WWI.
We would not hesitate to going on another tour especially with Bertrand. | Management response :
Bonjour Mary Ann,
Thank you very much for your feedback. Bertrand will be delighted to read your note. I'd like to thank you about your idea to provide participants with a map of the places visited during this Day Trip to the Somme Battlefields and I'll make sure to pass it on to our Product Manager.
THANK YOU again, Paul |

This tour was excellent. Julien, our guide, was a very polite and informative person, who demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the sites and history. We had previously conveyed an interst in the museum at Villers Bretenniox, Julien was aware of this a made provision for extra time to be spent at this site.
I was travelling with my 88 year old mother, and Julien was sensitive to her age and mindful of not going to fast and checking in with how she was travelling.
This was an excellent tour. |

Very enjoyable trip. |

I thoroughly enjoyed my day at "La Somme" despite the overcast skies and drizzle! Our guide, Ricardo, was knowledgable, personable and great company. He kept us on schedule without being officious and we were able to see all the key sites. His English is excellent which is a great help to those of us who are linguistically challenged. The pre-service provided by Paris Trip was excellent especially when I had difficulty with my online payment. I would not hesitate to recommend Paris Trip. |
Feedback on 12/8/2010 from John Gillan
Your tour of the Somme was one of the high points of
my visit to France (my first). Our guide spoke better English than I, even though he was originally
from Peru. I think he took us to an almost perfect selection of sites. The only minor irritant was a loud-mouth guy from Indiana, USA. C''est la vie.

Just wanted to thank Paris-Trip for a most enjoyable day on 08/10/2010 when we took the Battlefields of the Somme tour. Tour escort, Riccardo, was fabulous - we enjoyed his commentary on all issues most enjoyable - nothing was a bother to him. This is a great tour and we highly recommend it. |

Bonjour, We are now safely at home, after a most enjoyable visit to France that far exceeded our expectations. I am Emailing you to thank you very much for keeping faith with us and delivering a wonderful visit to the Somme. We were impressed and have no hesitation in recommending you to our friends. You would already know this, however, it bears a reminder. In Norma you have a treasure; thanks to her we had an incredible visit to the Somme and educational too. We will be indebted to her for giving us a memorable tour which we will not forget. |

Sebastian was a great guide and very helpful when I was trying to locate an ancestor. He took us to a lovely restaurant in Peronne for lunch which was very good. The one downside I had was the smell of cigarette smoke in the bus. He didn''t smoke on the bus so it must have been on his clothes, as an asthmatic it was not good. |

We had a wonderful day touring the battlefields, despite being the only South Africans on the trip our guide made a special effort to find out some of the history of Delville Wood and make an unplanned excusrion there for us. We were truly grateful! |

We had a great trip with Bernard on July 6th. The sites and history were very interesting and I liked being in a small group as much easier getting on and off the vehicle all the time. My only gripe was please tell Bernard to get his facts right. He told (8 Australians) that our ANZAC Day is celebrated on April 25 because that was the day in 1918 that the Australians won the Battle of Villers-Bretonneux. It is actually because the Australian forces landed in Gallipoli on that day in 1915. Bernard said I was wrong and he would bet me $2000 euros. ANZAC Day actually became the official holiday in 1916 and it was just a coincidence that the battle in 1918 was won on that day! I didn''t want to embarrass Bertrand by pursuing the argument but it is important that he is not giving Australans misinformation. It drove me crazy that day! Otherwise everything was great - Bertrand was very nice and the day went well. Probably didn''t need a whole hour in the museum at the end - everyone was through in 30 minutes. | Management response :
Bonjour Jaime,
Thank you very much for your insight. Will surely tell Bertrand about it. Paul |

Enjoyed this day tour, our driver/guide Sebastion was a great source of knowledge about the Somme battles. |
Feedback on 11/13/2012 from Kevin
Small group tour to WW1 battle fields. Guide/Driver for the day personable and extremely knowledgeable on the subject but at times ventured onto other none-related historical events and came across as ''showing off'' his intellectual capacity. Also seemed to be in a bit of a rush to get back to the City and his frustration at other drivers and traffic delays was very evident and very verbal! Hoped for a relaxing return journey after a quite moving and memorable experience at the battlefields - got back pretty stressed because of the drive. A most unfortunate conclusion. | Management response :
Thank you very much for your feedback. Paul |
