TOUR DESCRIPTION
After
being pick up from your accommodation in Paris, our guide will then take you
to Versailles for the morning. Retrace the history of this magnificent chateau
with the guide. You will have a one-hour guided visit in particular the Great
Apartments - The Queen's Bedroom, the great Apartments, the Hall of Mirros
and the Gallery of Battles. Throughout your visit, the guide will furnish you
with the history of this magical place. You will also see some traces of Le
Brun, Louis XIV's favourite painter. Portraits of the former residents can also
be found throughout the chateau.
Do take advantage of some remaining time to room the "A la Francaise"
gardens.
At the end of the visit, our guide will drive you back to your accommodation
in Paris.

AVAILABLE: A Versailles Orientation tour. The difference would be that the
guide will not accompany you inside for the visit of the Great Apartments. Audio
guides are available in different languages for the visit on your own inside

A wonderful Versailles tour from the moment we headed out. Our guide provided an excellent historical overview of the period before we arrived at Versailles so we were ready for the grandeur that awaited. Room by room detailed explanations of what we were seeing, the historical relevance and even a little bit of whimsy made you feel like you were transported back in time. Excellent tour for the price, would suggest a full day tour, the gardens are too expansive to explore in half a day. |

We had a mini van tour for eight. Very comfortable vehicle that had ample room for me ( and I''m 6''7"). Tour guide was at our hotel to pick us up on time, just as promised. Her language skills were excellent ( she guided our tour in English) and he knowledge of Paris and Versailles seemed thorough They took us close to the
venue, arranged for private & clean toilet facilities and made sure that we didn''t have to wait in line. Time was tight ( I would have liked another hour or so)
Very good trip from a company I would recommend. |

Being picked up at the hotel was a bonus and seeing how well organized the tour was was worth every penny. Loved everything about the trip out to Versailles and the guided tour. Our tour guide was fantastic. Sorry, I don''t remember her name, but she mentioned in passing she was 39 or 40 (but didn''t look it!). Had a wonderful time and out tour guide was excellent! This was a wonderful outing and a real highlight to our Paris trip. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgable.
Next time we come back to Paris I hope we can take the trip out to Versaille and also add more time to visit Marie Antionette''s gardens.

Guide was excellent and we were able to skip a long line and go right into the Palace. Our guide made sure we were comfortable on the tour accommodating those who needed assistance and was very courteous. Because this was only a morning tour, I would suggest less time outsdie the palace at the beginning of the tour which would allow more time at the end to spend in the gardens. Quite frankly, I think the gardens are a wonder of the world and much better than the actual palace. |

Best way to see a very crowded site. From the hotel pick up to the pre organized tickets all the arrangements went as well as a very popular tourist spot could be. The drive through Paris traffic was an education. |

We are very glad indeed that we booked onto this tour. It was a pleasure to be collected by minivan from our hotel and driven to Versailles. Although we arrived early-ish in the morning, the queues to ''pay-at-the-door'' for entrance to the Palace were already VERY long. It was another great pleasure to bypass that queue, altogether, and enter the palace by a door reserved for tour groups such as ours - involving no queue! Our French driver/guide, Olivier, spoke excellent English and his commentary through the public rooms of the Palace was very informative. We got one loo break, but time didn''t allow a stop for refreshment - and only a couple of minutes for the gift shop, which was rushed. At the end of the tour Olivier drove us back into Paris. By now it was a hot day - and we really appreciated the air-conditioning in the minivan! Our tour concluded with taking Lunch with a delightful Canadian couple who had been on the tour with us. If you are reading this, Serge & Natalie, thank you both for a fabulous time together. It was, as we Brits say, the icing on the cake of a great day! |

A lovely trip to Versailles. But we did not have enough time to visit the gardens because the staff at Versailles delayed the entry of our group, even though we were all assembled at the appointed time - not the fault of Paris-Trip. However, the guided tour was very interesting and informative. |

Our trip to Versailles was a mixture of good and disappointing - because of the crowds(which would be quite common) our trip was too rushed. We did not have time to see the gardens. The guide was excellent, he knew the history quite well and was interesting to listen to. I would recommend that another one and half hours are required. The driver of the vehicle was also knowledgeable of how to get through the traffic and where to park. Regards Lyn and Les Tod |

I took this tour as part of a package with Monet''s Garden. Didn''t really want to go inside the Palace as some of us had already been there. Wanted to go to Marie Antoinett''s Palace at the back of the Estate but not enough time.
Too many people and so stuffy in the palace. Good to see but would never go back - only if I could do Marie Antoinette''s Palace. |

Disappointing, we had to endure a 1 hour drive through Paris for a further 2 Pick-ups, then another 20 mins to Versailles. The tour of Versailles was manic,too many people made it difficult to maintain pace with the tour guide (no fault of the guide).This is the second time (the first was many years ago) that I have been to Versaille and my observation was that the interior requires some intense cleaning/maintenance |

Gardens & The Park"
Laid out between 1661 and 1700 by Le Notre, who levelled and
drained the land and designed perspectives, groves, the canal and
parterres, Versailles is the model of formal gardens " a la francaise
". It is adorned with marble, bronze and lead statues, and with
fountains. The antique myth of Apollo, the sun-god, is ever present.
Beyond the formal gardens arranged in the Petit parc (185 acres),
