Our guide Fred made our trip tp Versailles memorable. He was entertaining, interactive and well versed in the history of Versailles. On our way out of Paris he also provided history of the various monuments we passed which enhanced our experience. We loved the minibus, great windows, air-conditioning , seating. I highly recommend this trip and our entire group appreciated Fred''s guide. He was a highlight of our trip! | Management response :
Bonjour Susan,
Thank you very much for your note about your guide as well as about the minibus. Fred surely is a great guide and I will pass your note of appreciation on to him. We look forward to welcoming you again on one of your next Trip to Paris. Arnaud |

Well organised and timely pickup from hotel. excellent trip to Versaille. All day tour would be more appropriate to take in the gardens as well. |
Feedback on 10/26/2011 from Sue Holmes
WE had a super trip to Versaille which included a guided tour of teh palace and some free time in the gardens. Queuing to get in was a little chaotic, but that was not the fault of our guide.
The whole morning was excellent, perhaps we could have had a little longer to explore the gardens.

I took the half day tour to Versailles. Phillipe was our minivan driver, par excellence! I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. Ask for Phillipe if you can and need English. This made my trip!

Your Versailles tour was fantastic, we really couldn''t complain about the service we recieved. If there was one critisism it would be that the half day tour isn''t long enough. If you take the travel time off and then the amount of time you have to queue it only leaves just over an hour in the palace and gardens, the guide advised us not to use the audio guide because there wasn''t enough time. If we booked again we''d go for the full day tour. | Management response :
Bonjour David,
Merci for your comments and advice. You're right Versailles surely deserves to spend a full day there to really appreciate the place. The Half Day Tour is a good introduction though for who does not have a lot of time in Paris. One main issue is the time to access the castle some days and the day you went to Versailles must have been one of these days. Otherwise another option is to join the Half Day Guided Tour which allows us to get in faster. Again I thank you for your input and I hope we'll have a chance to see you again on one of your future trip to France. Thanks, Paul |

When I booked this tour, I was under the impression that a tour guide will be able to accompany me through the Versailles palace and garden. I later found out that the tour only covered the audio guides and transportation. My tour guide, however, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful during the transport. |

it was over priced and the same tour was available with some other company. I also showed the other companies leaflet to my paris trip guide but she couldnt explain why there was so much price difference. Almost double. | Management response :
Dear Naresh,
Thank you very much for your feedback. I am glad to read that you enjoyed the experience with us. As per the price is concerned, I must say that we do not overcharge. Our tours are run in minibuses with a capacity of 8 passengers and in some rare cases with a Maximum Capacity of 18. You were charged 83 Euros per person for this tour which include transportation from your hotel to Versailles and back to your Hotel. This tour was shared with other people and you were 8 in the vehicle that day with a Licenced Driver/Guide. This may be a little pricey but it is reasonable considering the capacity of the vehicle. I know that other companies charge much less in a coach that can accomodate up to 50 persons with PRE-RECORDED commentaries and NO PICK-UP. For that reason I believe we are not charging unreasonable prices but simply a fair price considering the cost structure of the tour (Small capacity vehicle, Driver/Guide, Pick-Up service).
Thank you very much though for your note. PAUL |

"The
Gardens & The Park"
Laid out between 1661 and 1700 by Le Notre, who levelled and
drained the land and designed perspectives, groves, the canal and
parterres, Versailles is the model of formal gardens " a la francaise
". It is adorned with marble, bronze and lead statues, and with
fountains. The antique myth of Apollo, the sun-god, is ever present.
Beyond the formal gardens arranged in the Petit parc (185 acres),
the extensive Grand Parc provides opportunities for pleasant strolls
or long walks.
