On a rainy night, we truly appreciated the thoughtfulness and promptness of our guide, Nicholas. He minimized our steps in the rain, provided a much-appreciated umbrella, and kindly assisted us in finding transport home. Even the rain could not dampen the incredible beauty of Versailles! The fountains, the music, the garden paths, all were amazing. The culmination of the evening was the fireworks display, gorgeously choreographed to classical music. Truly overwhelming, and well worth the soak. Will return with Paris-trip on a more promising evening soon! Thank you, Nicholas, and thank you Paris-trip! |

The Early Evening Dinner Cruise was rushed - i did not enjoy the experience as I would If I planned the events separately. Versailles was wonderful. |

Early evening dinner cruise and sound and light display at Versailles:
The dinner was great but a bit rushed, (no problem, just unusual and surprising) and actual sound and light show was fantastic. But the trip lacked guidance, and I was a bit surprised to find I was given my ticket and told to go in, have a look and meet the bus after it was finished. The different groups of people on the minibus of course, became separated due to lack of leadership. The trip would have been much more enjoyable and memorable if we had been guided through the grounds, given information and kept together. I give it four stars because of the show provided by the palace itself, which could not be compared. |

The dinner cruise was wonderful - great food, great service! Unfortunately it was a very rainy night at Versaille so we didn''t enjoy the water show & fireworks as much as we would have on a clear night. My only complaint was that our driver, Nicolas, did not really tell us anything about Versailles, including the fact that many of the fountains in the garden have water shows, not just the one in the center. We stood for several hours in one spot thinking that only one fountain did the water show. I feel it should have been our guide''s job to give us this type of information prior to our arrival at Versailles. |

"Early Evening Dinner Cruise with Bateaux Parisiens"
"Essential Paris: A prestigious encounter at the
foot of the Eiffel Tower, a cruise where you'll discover the most
beautiful monuments and traditional French Cuisine... and the joy
of a moment out of time."
"The
Gardens of Versailles - The Fountain Display"
"As a symbol of his radiance, Louis XIV identified himself
with Apollo, god of light, and became the Sun King. This allegory
is omnipresent throughout the gardens of André Le Nôtre.
Fourteen groves arranged on both sides of the view form beautiful
theatres where one could enjoy the work of Lully or Molière."
"Versailles Nocturnal Water Shows
and Fireworks"
"The
slendour of the fountains during the water shows and the brilliant
marriage between sculpture and nature add to the magic of this place.
Each summer the "Grandes Eaux Nocturnes" [Nocturnal Water
Shows] bring this heritage back to life for the public
